IBIS is proud to announce the IBIS Academy 2009. This annual international event will be held in the elegant Westin Palace Hotel in the heart of Madrid, Spain.
The IBIS Academy is a multi-track event that aims to promote industry growth and enhance knowledge of multinational pensions and employee benefits in markets around the world. The parallel tracks of the IBIS Academy offer unrivaled learning opportunities and an invigorating symposium experience. Participants register for the track of their choice and, during the overlapping period (from 13-15 May), have the freedom to attend sessions, participate in case studies, and attend workshops in either track.
The following tracks are being offered:
11-15 May, 2009 - The IBIS Institute Track
Geared toward individuals who have recently assumed responsibility for their organization's international employee benefits programs, this track is a training course that gives attendees the core knowledge and skills they need to address each international benefits challenge as it arises. It is designed specifically to expand the participant's knowledge base, to enhance existing skills, and to develp new tools and approaches regarding the management of international employee benefit plans - their design, their financing, legislative compliance, and the improvement of existing programs.

13-15 May, 2009 - The IBIS Conference Track
The IBIS Conference track, which has been held in Europe for now 38 years, provides a reputable platform to champion the cause of the HR manager worldwide.
This track brings together a wide range of industry professional show present their fields of expertise, perspective, and views to a wide audience, which traditionally includes Human Resources, Compensation and Benefits, and Rish Managers as well as HR Directors and CEO's of multinational companies.
The focus of the different track sessions is as follows:
International pension and employee benefits trends and developments
- Legislation surrounding International Employee Benefits and Pension issues.
- Cross border communication, the impact of culture on the design and effectiveness and obtaining acceptance of international programs.
- Mobility: addressing mobility challenges that companies often face when they deploy their people in other countries as expatriates or third copuntry nationals.

The Westin Palace Madrid (*****): The IBIS Academy 2009 will be held in this five star hotel. It is a hotel built for a king, commissioned by Alfonso XIII and opened in 1912 to give Madrid a "royal place for travelers" fit for his capital city.
The reduced IBIS room rate includes breakfast and is €270 per night for single occupancy, and €290 for double occupancy. To reserve a room please contact:
